A link pack for you and you and you
Kung Fu Panda, Pheromones, Blink 182, Chickens and scratched out fonts
Welcome back dear friends of the internet.
Trying out something new this week — just the link pack today, thought starter is coming at you on Monday. So, keep your eyes peeled. And, new branding! What do you think?
Last week’s audio version was a hit! Like 2x as many people opened, clicked and listened compared to the weeks before sorta hit. Clearly y’all like sound as much as I do. And speaking of sound, I noticed a few of you have been subscribing to the jams playlists. That was very cool to see. As thanks, here’s a jam for you to zone out to.
This track reminded me of when musicians take some bit of spoken word and use it as a sort of lyrics. Like this one sampling from a scene in Good Will Hunting, or this one sampling from J Krishnamurti, or this one sampling Kung Fu Panda… judge me, I dare you.
Before we really jump into it, please do yourself a favor and check this out. It’s hilarious.
Ok cool, let’s do this!
First thing’s first, I decided to merge the weekly jams playlists into one master playlist. Enjoy the new additions this week, in particular these vibey (and coincidentally color-matching) tracks.
Back at it again with Mary.
“The most regretful people on earth are those who felt the call to creative work, who felt their own creative power restive and uprising, and gave to it neither power nor time.“ — Mary Oliver
Freshman year, I briefly roomed with Natalie Warther who has since become one of my favorite up-and-coming writers.
There’s something wholesome about Mark Hoppus and Travis Barker (of Blink 182) reacting to teens reacting to their 90’s hits.
My internet friend Packy wrote a phenomenal piece on the dynamics of “arms dealer” businesses like Shopify.
Gentle and true reminders, Andrea Zittel’s, These things I know for sure and Thom Wong’s, It is not wrong.
Look at all these chickens! This one in particular.
Silent props, so cool.
I fucking love fonts. This one in particular.
Normally you’d find some editorial here. I’m trying something new, so prepare yourself for some mind blowing thoughts next week.
In the mean time, good luck, stay safe and drink Wünder.
